"New Cyprus cabinet tasked with ending division
The cabinet of Cyprus's first communist President Demetris Christofias was sworn in on Friday, tasked with reviving peace talks with the Turkish Cypriots and ending the three-decade division of the strategic Mediterranean island.
'The hard work starts now,' Christofias told his ministers, including one woman, at their first cabinet meeting following the swearing-in ceremony at the presidential palace in Nicosia."
