"The sculpture Turkish delight frustrates Turks
Turkish non-governmental organizations in Austria reacted to the nude sculpture 'Turkish delight' with a headscarf depicting a Turkish woman wearing just a headscarf. The sculptor Olaf Metzel is famous for his provocative sculptures. Austria Turkish Federation Vice Chairman Feyzullah Andak said: 'we demand that the authorized people should remove the sculpture as soon as possible.' The state MP and the integration spokesperson Şirvan Ekici said: 'the sculpture has disturbed me as a woman. We have been in a tense atmosphere after September 11. Such an artwork is inappropriate for the current situation.'"
