"Turkish president says US responsible for dealing with Kurdish rebels in northern Iraq
BAKU, Azerbaijan: Turkey's president on Tuesday strongly urged the United States to uproot Kurdish rebels in northern Iraq.
President Abdullah Gul said on a visit to Azerbaijan that the United States bears responsibility for fighting terror all around Iraq.
"As the country which has occupied Iraq, the United States carries responsibility for fighting all terrorist organizations in the country," Gul said after talks with Azerbaijan's President Ilham Aliev. "If it combats terrorist organizations in one part of Iraq and doesn't combat them in another part of Iraq, it will face contradictions.""
