ALFRED - Alfred University is learning - when in Turkey, doing as the Turkish do can keep you out of trouble.
Unfortunately for Alfred U., a decision to not enforce Turkey's ban on head scarves at government offices and universities at its new, 30-acre branch campus, has led to controversy, both abroad and at home. It also got AU a mention in the Chronicle of Higher Education, in which the story states Turkey's Higher Education Council has filed a complaint against AU for violating Turkish law."
