"Turkish prof provides insight into Japan-Turkey relations
The Yomiuri Shimbun Ayse Esenbel, a professor of Japanese History at Bosporus University in Turkey, highlighted the history of Japan-Turkey bilateral relations, which date back to the 19th century, in a lecture at Ritsumeikan University in Kyoto on Friday. Her lecture marked the 20th anniversary of the university's College of International Relations. Esenbel is visiting Japan to accept a Japan Foundation Special Prize for Japanese Studies that she was awarded this year."
