"Who says there is a media monopoly? Well, you see that our senior Turkish journalists and columnists - not all of course and i particularly personify them in the person of Hürriyet- began to occupy a curious position. Whatever their bosses' interests are, they have their own agenda. After a little break in which they questioned their relations with the public, the validity of their judgements- after observing AKP's unexpected victory while they were expecting at best a minor win- they resumed their attack against the AKP leadership. Mr. Erdoğan has always enough to trigger criticism but after such a political situation, these journalists seem to be quite isolated from their other power elites they had seemed to ally with."
