"Turkish-born filmmaker Ferzan Özpetek among Venice's all-director jury
Rome-based Turkish filmmaker Ferzan Özpetek -- whose credits include such films as 'Steam: The Turkish Bath,' 'Sacred Heart' and 'Saturn in Opposition' -- will serve in the all-director jury at this year's Venice Film Festival, entertainment industry newspaper Variety reported Friday.
Özpetek will join a seven-member board of famous filmmakers alongside top directors Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu, Jane Campion and Paul Verhoeven at the festival, slated to run Aug. 29 to Sept. 8. Rounding out the festival's jury panel are France's Catherine Breillat ('An Old Mistress') and Italy's Emanuele Crialese ('Golden Door'), Variety said. The jury will be chaired by two-time Golden Lion winner Zhang Yimou, as previously announced. This year's festival lineup is due to be announced July 26 in Rome."
