Turkish rock star Barış Akarsu died Wednesday night. Akarsu, who was born in Zonguldak in 1979, was interested in music since childhood. He started playing the guitar when he was in high school. During the days he worked in various radio stations he heard about a music competition on TV and decided to apply. He came first in the �Akademi Türkiye� (Academy Turkey) competition and moved to Istanbul, where he continued his music life. He performed in Turkey's various districts more than 100 times."
