A series of forest fires in the Mediterranean and Aegean holiday resorts have hit Turkey at the heart of the tourism season creating deep national anger and frustration.
In the past years we have suffered similar forest fires and authorities have tried various measures to prevent these fires but it seems this is mission impossible.
With the dry and hit weather comes the forest fires. The conditions are ripe for a fire and a small spark apparently triggers the forest fires where massive forests are wiped out in a matter of days especially in our western and southern regions."
