(AKI) - Turkey's dream of becoming a conduit for energy hungry Europe and the oilfields of the Middle East and Central Asia appears under threat from energy giant Russia. With the largest natural gas reserves and 8th biggest oil reserves in the world, Russia has already bypassed Turkey’s Samsun-Ceyhan oil pipeline project to deliver Russian oil to the Mediterranean via Turkey by clinching a deal with Bulgaria and Greece to transport oil through a pipeline from Bulgaria's Black Sea port of Bourgas to the northeastern Greek coastal port of Alexandroupolis.
