"Dollar steadies; Turkish lira rallies on poll results

NEW YORK (MarketWatch) -- The dollar traded fractionally higher against the euro and the yen Monday, coming off fresh multi-year lows it reached overnight amid persistent worries about the U.S. subprime-lending market.
The greenback has come under heavy selling pressure in recent weeks as fears have risen that the troubled housing market will hurt the broader economy. Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke said on Thursday that subprime-mortgage paper would see 'significant losses.'"
