"Financial Times: Turks call for a secular president
The British Financial Times (FT) newspaper reserved generous space for Turkey in its 'The Week Ahead' column yesterday.
Taking a look at important global events over the coming week, the Week Ahead pointed to the upcoming April 14 'Cankaya Meeting' to be held in Ankara by the Ataturk Thought Foundation (ADD) as one of the coming week's two most important global events. Entitled 'Turks call for a secular president,' the FT article noted that 'Kemalist supporters of Turkey's secular nationalist ideology' were calling for a secular candidate for the upcoming May presidential elections in Turkey. "
