Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan had a telephone conversation with British Prime Minister Tony Blair on Monday, during which Blair expressed last-minute support for Turkey's European Union membership bid.
The conversation was held with the initiative of the British side, Prime Ministry sources said on Monday. Blair called his Turkish counterpart during the weekly ministry meetings, where upon Erdogan called Blair again. "
