Diyarbakir Mayor Osman Baydemir has dismissed remarks attributed to him in a speech delivered at the European Parliament that the Turkish military would lay down its arms simultaneously with the outlawed Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK), the Anatolia news agency reported over the weekend."
