Let's make it clear right from the beginning: It is perfectly legitimate for the Greek Cypriots to try and make best use of opportunity and obtain the maximum for their required nod for the start of Turkey's European Union accession talks. If the Turkish Cypriots were in their shoes and if it was Greece in Turkey's place, they would try to act just the same. Rather than getting angry with the Greek Cypriots, we must applaud them for their courageous resistance to pressure and for sticking to their stance of “getting the maximum.” "
