"EU Plans Supervision of Turkish Economy

The European Commission Director of Economic and Financial Affairs Dirk Verbeken said the European Union (EU) may take over the supervision of Turkish economy as of 2007, when International Monetary Fund (IMF) program will have been completed.
The stand-by process between the IMF and Turkey, Verbeken underlined, had led to good supervision in the reforms of the Turkish Economy."
