Editor’s Note: FPRI is publishing a collection of essays analyzing Recep Tayyip Erdoğan’s victory in the Turkish presidential election in May 2023. The articles examine the Kurdish role in the election and the extent to which anti-refugee rhetoric was normalized in the campaign.
