IN OPULENT fashion shows billed as 'A night of Turkish Delight' held at the Diplomatic Club this week, well-known Turkish designer, Zuhal Yorgancioglu, simply left the audience spellbound.
In sharp contrast to most modern day fashion shows where everything contemporary comes to the fore, these shows were an emotional fusion of age-old Turkish hand embroidery deftly woven with contemporary cuts and designs to create a magical effect on stage.
Yorgancioglu also known as Madame Z, not only succeeded in bringing together the rich culture of old and modern Turkey under one banner, but presented a visual feast of apparel that simply crossed all barriers. "
