When Turkey throws a party, make sure you're invited. When it is this big of a spectacle, have a camera ready and try not to fall off the edge of your seat.
With 9,000 athletes and 170 countries represented at the World University Games in Izmir, Turkey, there was never a break in the extravagance of amateur sports and its finely tuned and peaking athletes.
The venue that provided the most drama was the Karsiyaka Spor Salonu. At the Games conclusion, the standing room only crowd smashed attendance records; a site where both men's and women's volleyball was fiercely competed."
