"US says no plan to station more F-16s at Incirlik

A top Pentagon official said yesterday that the United States was not looking to deploy more aircraft at the southern air base of Incirlik.
U.S. and Turkish media reports have said over the past months that Washington wanted to move more F-16 fighter jets from bases in Europe to spots closer to the volatile Middle East as part of a broader plan to redesign the U.S. global defense posture. According to reports, Washington was planning to move up to 48 F-16s from a base in Germany to Incirlik. "
