Forests generate some of the biggest offsets of carbon dioxide and yet, thousands of tons of CO2 emissions are added in the atmosphere every year due to forest fires. Australia, California, Oregon, Brazil, Russia, Western Canada, Greece and Turkey are among countries susceptible to forest fires.
