Protesting for peace in Turkey shouldn’t be deadly

President Recep Tayyip Erdogan of Turkey keeps walking deeper into a regional quagmire. The bombings in Ankara on Saturday might well have been averted – or at least the horror could have been diminished – if only the Turkish government had provided adequate security to protect a large, peaceful protest in the capital; a peaceful protest advocating peace. As a result of the attacks, at least 95 and perhaps as many as 128 people were killed.
