Turkish consumer confidence hammered by political uncertainty

Turkish consumers became the latest victims of widening political uncertainty on Friday, with sentiment hitting its lowest in six years, felled by concerns about government stability, mounting militant violence and a tumbling lira. Foreign investor confidence in Turkey's $870 billion economy has unravelled after Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu this week failed to find a coalition partner to form a government with his AK Party.
