The Erdoğan model of journalism in Turkey

As we all know, journalism in Turkey faces many difficulties. Perhaps Turkey has never enjoyed a real feeling of journalism in all its history.
In recent years, however, as Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has gained control of all state apparatus, he has now turned his attention to the media. In order to do that, he appointed trusted individuals as board members of media companies. Whenever he saw a news story that he did not like, he made phone calls to his contacts to censor the news. Erdoğan even admitted that he did indeed interfere with the media and removed unfavorable news items.
