As purge continues in police force, court grants stay of execution

As over 600 more police officers were reassigned in the provinces of Ankara and Antalya on Tuesday as part of a sweeping purge that has been continuing since a graft probe -- in which four former Cabinet ministers are also involved -- became public on Dec. 17, 2013, a court in İstanbul has granted a stay of execution for a police officer reassigned to another post in early January.
