Cinema: Turkey's Izmir hopes to become movie capital
With the establishment of a huge film platform project

(ANSAmed) - ISTANBUL, JANUARY 17 - A huge film platform will be established in the city of Izmir, on Turkey's Mediterranean coast, jointly by the Anatolian Cinema and Television Authors Union (ASITEM) and French film companies. The platform, which will cover an area of nearly 250,000 square meters, will include the mockups of forests, highways, world renowned avenues and structures as Anadolu Agency reports. The goal is to make 10 films a year in the platform, which will also have a school to train future filmmakers.
