Kurdish politics in the West Asia have taken on a renewed momentum. Kurdish dynamics have evolved largely against the backdrop of the US invasion of Iraq and the creation of the semi-autonomous region of Iraqi Kurdistan, the deadlock in Syria and the possibility of a de facto Syrian Kurdistan, as well as the deepening Shia-Sunni divide.
