Five Reasons Erdogan May Not Survive Turkey’s Corruption Scandal
Public anger is spreading

Turkey’s political earthquake began with a police raid on Dec. 17, and the aftershocks show no signs of letting up.

The country’s widespread corruption scandal has snared dozens of high-level citizens, including three government ministers’ sons, prominent businessmen, the head of a state bank and other national officials. Among the allegations police are investigating: bribery, gold smuggling to Iran and money laundering.
