Croatia sees significant drop in tourists from Turkey

The new visa procedure of Croatia, which is the youngest member of the EU, has been allowing tourists from non-EU countries on a visa since April, which has automatically decreased the number of Turkish tourists in the country.Following the new procedures on visas started on April 1st, Turkish tourists as well as Russian tourists going on a holiday to Croatia were affected adversely while Italians, Germans, and Austrians still preferred travelling to the country for vacation.The amount Turkish visitors to the country decreased by 21 per cent when compared to last year, according to data released by the Croatian Culture Ministry.
