Ankara denies reports on Turkish pilots in Syria

ANKARA, Jan 4 (KUNA) -- Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu on Friday dismissed reports that Turkish pilots were arrested while attempting to infiltrate into Syria.
"We find such manipulative reports in the media quite odd. But we find it even stranger that the opposition party is making all these statements that put the Armed Forces in a difficult position," Davutoglu told a joint news conference with visiting Singaporean Minister of Foreign Affairs and Law Kasiviswanathan Shanmugan.
"No Turkish military officer is in Syria right now," Davutoglu added. "Our statement is clear. We ask the people of Turkey to be aware of these manipulations." The Turkish foreign minister blasted parliament opposition for submitting a request based on untrue reports.
