MetLife Istanbul, Turkey Headquarters Earns LEED Gold Certification

In keeping with its commitment to effective energy management, sustainability and efforts to reduce its environmental footprint, MetLife, Inc. (NYSE: MET) announced that is headquarters in Istanbul, Turkey, MetLife Emeklilik ve Hayat A.Ş., has received the United States Green Building Council’s (USGBC) Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design program (LEED) Gold Certification. MetLife’s office renovation project is the first LEED certification the company has received in the region, and the first LEED Gold Commercial Interior certificate for an office facility in Turkey. In addition to the Istanbul facility, MetLife has eight additional facilities that have received LEED certification, including one office in India and seven in the United States.
