A Turkish tale

A Turkish tale

Silent House
Author: Orhan Pamuk
Publisher: Faber and Faber, 334 pages

SILENT House is Orhan Pamuk’s latest novel to be translated into English, but it is not the latest in his oeuvre. It is Pamuk’s earlier work, published in Turkey back in 1983. You can tell by the complete absence of Pamuk’s baroque and peculiar prose that has won him numerous accolades, including the Nobel Prize in Literature.
