Oxygen at last. Having just spent two days in a Turkish military base in the middle of Ankara advising NATO on energy security issues, I thought it would be good to get back to ‘reality’ rather than gaming scenarios. But the two worlds seem to have oddly merged – at least as far as terrorist threats to energy assets are concerned. Lord Howell, a key energy advisor to the British Foreign Office was caught on camera highlighting an inconvenient, but entirely accurate truth: If we had a serious terrorist attack in the Gulf we’d all be up s*** creek.
