A Pegasus Airlines Boeing 737-800, registration TC-CCP performing flight PC-159 from Gaziantep to Istanbul Sabiha Gokcen (Turkey) with 158 passengers and 6 crew, was on final approach to Sabiha Gokcen's runway 06 about 7.5nm from touchdown, when the crew reported on tower and were instructed to continue the approach. At that time another aircraft was being towed across the runway with clearance by the tower, but did not vacate the runway until TC-CCP descended through 1000 feet AGL prompting the tower to instruct flight PC-159 to go around at 23:40L (20:40Z). The aircraft went around from about 900 feet, positioned for another approach and landed safely on runway 06 about 12 minutes later.
