Turkish PM announces elective Kurdish language lessons in schools, calls it “historic step.”

ANKARA, Turkey — Turkey on Tuesday announced plans to introduce elective Kurdish language instruction in schools, a step aimed at reconciliation that Kurdish minority activists argued didn’t go far enough.
