Turkey: Nobel winner Pamuk opens the Museum of Innocence
End of April in Istanbul containing objects from his novel

(by Rodolfo Calò) (ANSAmed) - ANKARA, APRIL 16 - Orhan Pamuk's "Museum of Innocence" has been finalised and will open April 28 in Istanbul, putting on display objects mentioned in the homonymous romantic novel written by the Turkish writer winner of the Nobel Prize for Literature. The news is reported by the Turkish newspaper Hurriyet which also gives a few details of the show. The long awaited "Masumiyet Muzes" is inspired by the 2008 book in which Pamuk describes "the infinite nuances of an uncontainable passion which devastates the life of a man and a woman to the point of losing them" as written in the inside cover review of the Italian edition of "The Museum of Innocence" published by Einaudi one year later. The objects, reports Hurriyet, have been inspired by Fusun, the destitute and overwhelmingly beautiful girl from Istanbul with a fateful destiny and loved by the coprotagonist, Kemal.
