Turkish parl't to vote on extending mandate for cross-border offensives against Kurds in Iraq

ANKARA, Turkey - Turkey's deputy prime minister says parliament is to vote to extend a mandate authorizing its military to launch cross-border operations against Kurdish rebel bases in Iraq.
Bulent Arinc said Monday parliament will vote on extending the mandate for another year soon after it reopens on Oct. 1. The current mandate expires on Oct. 17
