Lira Approaches its Lowest Since 2009 on Rate Cut Bet, Europe Debt Concern

The lira fell for a second day, approaching the lowest level since March 2009, on speculation that a global slowdown will prompt the central bank to cut rates next week, curbing demand for the currency.
