"Ankara falls in line with other top NATO partners

Ankara, 24 April - Turkey's Foreign Ministry decided to give up its non-interventionist stance and to join the United States and the European Union in pointing the finger at the Syrian government for the violent events produced by the armed uprising. The Foreign Ministry released a statement calling on the Syrian authorities to “act with maximum restraint, refrain from excessive use of force and choose the appropriate means of response to mass demonstrations”."
