"BBC HD announces new distribution deals in Turkey

BBC HD became part of the offering for Turkey's first IPTV platform TTNET's IPtivibu on 14 October 2010 and has just launched as part of the Family package on DTH operator D-Smart, the largest digital platform for HD content in Turkey.

Ian McDonough, SVP and General Manager EMEA, BBC Worldwide Channels, said: 'I am delighted that BBC HD is now available to a wider Turkish audience through these new agreements with TTNET and D Smart. This is a fantastic achievement for our young business here, with the channel making its Turkish debut just six months ago and is now available through three major operators. BBC HD offers viewers unbeatable picture and sound quality, giving a true home-cinema experience.'"
