The United States, Russia, China and a European partnership are among bidders for a Turkish national missile defense project expected to be worth $2 billion, Sabah newspaper reported.

The project is separate from a larger missile defense shield that NATO wants to place in Turkey to protect all alliance countries in Europe, Sabah said. "
