ANKARA, Turkey — Hidayet Turkoglu scored a game-high 14 points to give Turkey a 2-0 start at the world basketball championship with a 65-56 victory over Russia on Sunday.

Ersan Ilyasova of Milwaukee Bucks had a double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds while Omer Asik added anoter 10 points and seven rebounds. The 2.08-meter Turkoglu of Phoenix Suns did not score until the end of the third quarter and had back-to-back three-pointers for Turkey, which defeated Ivory Coast 86-47 in the opening game."
