We hailed the deal Turkey and Brazil worked out over Iran’s uranium stock as a “diplomatic coup” in our last piece on the topic. We still consider it to be so. After weeks of rejecting the idea of sending any uranium abroad, Tehran was forced into handing 1,200 kilograms of uranium over to Turkey in an exchange arrangement proposed by the former head of the International Automatic Energy Agency, or IAEA."
