The Savannah River Site is now the home of even more nuclear waste. Waste that does not currently seem to have a specified path to its disposal.

The National Nuclear Safety Administration (NNSA) announced recently that it had secured spent reactor fuel from Turkey and was returning it to the United States. On Wednesday, the Aiken Standard learned that these fuel rods, along with other highly enriched uranium (HEU), had arrived at SRS."
