"Greek Cypriot leader determined to solve Cyprus problem

NICOSIA, Jan. 7 (Xinhua) -- Cyprus President and Greek Cypriot leader Demetris Christofias assured UN Secretary-general Ban Ki-moon on Thursday of his resolve to work for a political settlement in Cyprus.
He made the assurance during a telephone conversation with the UN chief, reported the semi-official Cyprus News Agency."
