"Turkish Cyprus marks its 26th anniversary
In a celebration ceremony to mark the 26th anniversary of the founding of Turkish Cyprus on Sunday, the Turkish Cypriot president said his people are determined to maintain their claim on the island.
“We are celebrating a new anniversary for Turkish Cyprus, which is a concrete expression of the Turkish Cypriot people’s will to govern themselves,” President Mehmet Ali Talat said at the anniversary ceremony."
