"Gov’t asks Doğan for $3.2 billion in collateral

Turkey’s tax office ordered Doğan Media Group to make a pay 4.8 billion Turkish Liras ($3.2 billion) in collateral against a much criticized $2.5 billion fine, over alleged failure to pay value-added tax on the transfer of shares between companies. The company, which has 15 days to make the payment, is planning to take legal action, according to a company statement filed with the Istanbul bourse"
