"Turk olive oil producer wins int’l award
İZMİR - What started as a hobby for one Turkish citizen, producing olive oil has now won him international recognition.
The olive oil producer, Ali Osman Menteşe, began producing olive oil as a hobby in the Aegean city of Muğla's Agaclihoyuk village after he retired. 'I started olive oil production as a hobby in my family’s olive grove in Agaclihoyuk village,' Menteşe said. He said that he received a silver medal from Monde Selection, one of the high-prestige olive oil institutions centered in Brussels, for his 'Menteşe Som' oil."
