In an interview to the Kathimerini newspaper, President Mehmet Ali Talat evaluated the latest developments concerning the Cyprus issue. President Mehmet Ali Talat has pointed out that a solution would not be found without ‘Turkish guarantees’ on the island. The President said this problem was the result of the conflict between Turkish Cypriots and Greek Cypriots in the past."
