ISTANBUL, Turkey -- Now that the Turkish municipal elections are over, many are hoping that the government of Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan will swiftly take up the EU reform agenda. Turkey did little in this area since 2006 and, after seven years under the Justice and Development Party (JDP), it seems farther away from the European Union than it had been in 2002."
